Once a major port during the Dutch colonial era, today Semarang is a commercial post and administrative capital of Central Java. It is however more than just a business centre and is an excellent gateway to the mountainous interior of the area, plus approximately only 60 miles from the world-famous Borobudur.

The penultimate port of Surabaya is known as a gateway city, but you’ll find charms in the diverse neighbourhoods of Buddhist temples and historic Arab Quarter. From anywhere in the city, the turquoise, dome-shaped roof of the remarkable Al Akbar Mosque Surabaya is visible.

The final port of call, Bali is one of the most popular visited destinations not just in Indonesia but in the world and therefore the perfect place to enjoy a post-cruise stay at Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali.
